Overview
Financial Economics Analytics is a branch of economics that studies the allocation and use of resources in markets. Financial economists differ from traditional economists in that they focus on monetary activities in which time, uncertainty, options, and information all play a role, and make informed financial decision.
The financial economics analytics degree programme is designed to provide students with a solid theoretical foundation as well as the empirical skills needed to analyse economic and financial issues. This programme combines courses in microeconomics, macroeconomics, quantitative analysis, research, and finance.
Graduates of the Bachelor of Economics (Honours) Financial Economics Analytics are eligible for certain exemptions from the professional examinations of MACS. Besides, UTAR also entered the partnership with The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) to enable the Financial Economics Analytics students to access the CIMA Professional Qualification. Students will only need to complete 3 Case Studies exam to complete the professional qualification concurrently with the UTAR Bachelor of Economics (Honours) Financial Economics Analytics degree.
